Event Description:
Seated luncheon and exciting program for teams, official parties, and the public. Usually attended by more than 1,500. The event is emceed by CBS Sports Studio Host Tim Brando, and Spencer Tillman. Highlighted by a video presentation, recognition of the Omar N. Bradley "Spirit of Independence" award and Shreveport-Bossier City Sportsperson-of-the-Year Award and the Scholastic Awards which goes to the outstanding student-athlete from each team. The Independence Bowl/Willis Knighton Health System Community Service Scholarship recipients are also honored at this event.

Event Description:
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes' local chapter sponsors a full breakfast for players and coaches and the public is invited to attend. Event includes personal testimonies from players and coaches.

PEP RALLY & BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Event Description:
At 6 p.m. get ready for the Battle of the Bands and Pep Rally. University cheerleaders lead their faithful fans through team cheers while the bands play their schools' songs all in a festive and competitive environment.
