Ticket Renewal Process Begins for 2008 PetroSun Independence Bowl

Shreveport, La. – The ticket renewal mailout has begun for the 2008 PetroSun Independence Bowl and all ticket holders should receive their renewal forms within the next two weeks.

Ticket renewal forms are being mailed out in alphabetical order and started going out March 11. Everyone who purchased tickets to last year’s PetroSun Independence Bowl will receive a ticket renewal form. Anyone who does not receive their renewal invoice should contact the bowl office at 318.221.0712 or 888.414.2695 (BOWL). New ticket orders can also be placed by calling the bowl office. Seat locations on all new orders will be assigned once the renewal deadline has passed.

The deadline for payment on all renewals is May 15, 2008. The 2008 PetroSun Independence Bowl will once again feature teams from the Big 12 and SEC and the date and time of the game is expected to be announced this week. The game will be played at Independence Stadium and will be televised nationally on ESPN. Alabama defeated Colorado, 30-24, in the 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl.

Ticket holders will also receive information regarding the “Family FUN PACK,” one of the bowl’s ticket initiatives that is back for the second-straight year. The “Family FUN PACK” includes four south end zone tickets for a family or group of four plus four shuttle passes and several great discounts at area businesses such as Kiddie Mia’s, Art Space, Gators and Friends, The State Fair of Louisiana, Counter Culture (Shed Road Location). Johnny’s Catfish and Seafood, and Shreveport Sports baseball games. The “Family FUN PACK” costs only $125 and will be available for purchase between April 1 and Oct. 1. Groups of 10 or more can purchase the “Touchdown Club”, which includes 10 south end zone seats plus 10 shuttle tickets for $325. More exciting ticket packages will be available throughout the year.
