TICKET SHIPMENT FOR
2007 PETROSUN INDEPENDENCE BOWL BEGINS

Shreveport, La. – Tickets for the 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl are now being shipped in alphabetical order via UPS and certified mail starting today.

The 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl will be played in primetime on Sunday, Dec. 30 as the game kicks off at 7 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN from Independence Stadium. The PetroSun Independence Bowl is the only bowl game that day.

Event order forms for all public bowl week events are included in the ticket shipment. All ticket holders who renewed their seats from last year are included in the shipment. PetroSun Independence Bowl officials would like to remind all ticket holders that tickets must be signed for and that ticket holders are encouraged to keep their tickets in a safe place until gameday, as tickets cannot be replaced once they have been received.

Ticket holders wishing to order tickets to any of the public Bowl Week events are urged to do so as soon as possible by using the event order form provided with their delivered game tickets. Ticket holders may purchase tickets to any of the public events as well as passes for the gameday shuttle by filling out the enclosed form and returning it with a credit card number or check to the PetroSun Independence Bowl office. The address is listed on the order form.

Tickets to this year’s game are also available at area Brookshire’s grocery stores for $30. All Brookshire’s tickets are cash only sales and are for south endzone seating. Tickets are also available at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City.

Tickets are still available for the 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl as well as the Minuteman Luncheon, and can be obtained through a variety of methods. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Independence Bowl Foundation at (318) 221-0712 or toll free at 888-414-BOWL (2695) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at www.independencebowl.org. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Bowl office located at 401 Market Street, Suite 120 on the main floor of the American Tower in downtown Shreveport. Prices are $35 for sideline bench seating and $30 for south end zone seating.
