Independence
Bowl officials each year partner with local, regional, and national businesses
in order to grow the Independence Bowl, as well as to benefit the Sponsors
and the Shreveport-Bossier City area, and the entire Ark-La-Tex. One of
the primary goals of the Independence Bowl is to increase sponsor visibility.
Below is a list of Independence Bowl events that are available to potential
sponsors:
All sponsorship packages include tickets, advertising, signage and a number
of other benefits.
There are seven specific sponsorship levels available, as well as a number
of available events. If packages don't fit your specific needs, we can
tailor something to benefit you.
MINUTEMAN
LUNCHEON
Seated
luncheon and exciting program for teams, official parties, and the public.
Usually attended by more than 1,500. The event is emceed by CBS Sports
Studio Host Tim Brando, and Spencer Tillman. Highlighted by a video presentation,
recognition of the Omar N. Bradley "Spirit of Independence"
award and Shreveport-Bossier City Sportsperson-of-the-Year Award and the
Scholastic Awards which goes to the outstanding student-athlete from each
team. The Independence Bowl/Willis Knighton Health System Community Service
Scholarship recipients are also honored at this event.
PEP
RALLY
In
2006 the Independence Bowl Pep Rally took place at the Louisiana Boardwalk
in Bossier City, and saw a crowd of 35,000 enjoy the festivities at the
area's newest entertainment venue. This year the Pep Rally is set for the Centurytel Center (arena) in Bossier City. The annual pep rally includes a Battle
of the Bands from the participating schools, and live entertainment in
a festive atmosphere.
MEMBER
TAILGATE PARTY
Private
tailgate party held in the Louisiana Land Building on the State Fair Grounds
on gameday. This event is for the 450 members of the Independence Bowl
Foundation and their guests and includes great regional cuisine as well
as live entertainment.
MEDIA
DINNER
Members
of the local and visiting media are treated to dinner at a Shreveport
landmark, Ernest's Orleans, the night before the game. This gives them
a chance to unwind, since they are here working during bowl week, and
gives them the chance to visit with other media members, while enjoying
outstanding regional cuisine.
I-20
MESSAGE CENTER/SCOREBOARD SIGNAGE
This package includes 20 minutes per hour on
a message center that is adjacent to Interstate 20, as well static signage
on the scoreboard/Diamondvision screen inside Independence Stadium. This
signage is visible year-round, with an average of 70,000 cars passing
daily on I-20.

STATIC PANEL
One 6' x 12' static panel on the scoreboard/Diamondvision
screen inside Independence Stadium. This signage is visible during every
event held in the stadium as well as from outside of the stadium.

TRI-PANEL
One 12' x 12' tri-panel on the scoreboard/Diamondvision
screen inside Independence Stadium. This signage is visible during every
event held in the stadium as well as from outside of the stadium.
BAND
PARTY
We want everyone to enjoy the bowl
experience when they come to the Independence Bowl, including the school
bands. The Band Party is a chance to show our appreciation to the band-members
who make the trip and add so much to the overall bowl week experience.
This party allows them to unwind and have fun.
GAMEDAY
SHUTTLE
In an effort to make gameday travel easier for
the fans, the Independence Bowl offers shuttle service from two area shopping
malls to the stadium and back, after the game.
